From the family of Mr & Mrs Okonkwo, Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as e-money was born in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria, on February 18, 1981. He is a native of Uli, Anambra state. Not having a super rich family, Emeka Okonkwo lived his younger days in the city of Lagos, where he attended Ajegunle Primary School, then to his secondary and then to his University.
After getting past University he went abroad to hustle which by all believed this to be his turning point. He said ” We were on our way to Lagos when I received a phone call informing me that I had been awarded a $52 million contract and that is how our lives changed forever”. It can only be grace. This was the cash he particularly used to start his self up and also spread it amongst his family.

Emeka okonkwo is happily married to Juliet onyinyechi ogechchukwu adaku okonkwo (nne uzondu) and blessed with three children who all lives abroad and are studying there with their mother. The couples first met each other in college and kept their relationship even after they graduated.
